October 29, 2024 A Tu Gusto, LLC Recalls Frozen Croquette Products Produced Without the Benefit of Inspection and Undeclared Allergens
WASHINGTON, Oct. 29, 2024 – A Tu Gusto, LLC, a Lehigh Acres, Fla. firm, is recalling approximately 7,630 pounds of frozen meat and poultry croquette products that were produced without the benefit of federal inspection and may contain undeclared allergens, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The product contains soy, sesame seed and wheat, known allergens, which are not declared on the product label. For more information click here.
October 17, 2024 Update -BrucePac Recalls Ready-To-Eat Meat and Poultry Products Due to Possible Listeria Contamination
Editor’s Note: October 17, 2024 – FSIS is working diligently to identify all recalled products that were distributed to consumers, including those purchased by schools. A preliminary list of schools that received products that include BrucePac recalled ready-to-eat (RTE) meat and poultry have been added. The products that went to these schools were not part of USDA’s National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs; schools also purchase food directly from other vendors. October 15, 2024 Update - BrucePac Recalls Ready-To-Eat Meat and Poultry Products Due to Possible Listeria Contamination
Editor's Note: Oct. 15, 2024 - This release is being reissued as an expansion of the October 9, 2024 recall to include additional products and production dates. Details of this release were updated to note the addition of 1,779,040 pounds of product subject to recall, increasing the weight from 9,986,245 to 11,765,285 pounds. This recall release has also been updated to reflect that recalled products were also distributed to schools. A school distribution list is not available at this time. October 9, 2024 BrucePac Recalls Ready-To-Eat Meat and Poultry Products Due to Possible Listeria Contamination
WASHINGTON, Oct. 9, 2024 – BrucePac, a Durant, Okla. establishment, is recalling approximately 9,986,245 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) meat and poultry products that may be adulterated with Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. September 27, 2024 Pork Dynasty Inc. Recalls Ready-to-Eat Fried Pork Skin Products Due to Misbranding and Undeclared Allergen
WASHINGTON, Sept. 27, 2024 – Pork Dynasty Inc., a Houston, Texas establishment, is recalling approximately 469 pounds of ready-to-eat fried pork skin products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. September 13, 2024 Dearborn Sausage Company, Inc. Recalls Wiener Products Due to Misbranding and Undeclared Allergens
WASHINGTON, Sept. 12, 2024 – Dearborn Sausage Company, Inc., a Dearborn, Mich. establishment, is recalling approximately 1,944 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) wiener products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The labels of the two products implicated in the recall were inadvertently swapped resulting in soy, a known allergen, and pork not being declared on the product labels. - Stay informed about current recalls by signing up for email notices below or by checking the USDA recalls page.
- Please check all inventories to identify if you have any product affected by recalls.
- If Second Harvest Heartland has distributed product affected by a recall, your agency will be notified by Partner Services and given instructions.
- Keep in mind that recalled product could be in your inventory even if you haven’t ordered it from Second Harvest Heartland. Recalled product may have been distributed through miscellaneous food boxes, food rescue, food drives, donations or your other food vendors.
- If you find recalled product in your inventory, follow the instructions in the recall notice or those provided by Second Harvest Heartland.
- Use this recall plan template to create a response plan for your organization.
