Chrissy Saul – Lead Volunteer Experience Ambassador

 
Chrissy helps lead the VEA Team, which serves as “the middle point” between Second Harvest Heartland’s volunteers and our organization. “We're very front facing but we also do some of the operations work,” says Chrissy.

Shawnia Johnson - Volunteer Center Coordinator


Shawnia’s role is to oversee Second Harvest Heartland’s episodic volunteers—volunteers who come into the Volunteer Center for the sorting and packing shifts. “My role is really expressing how important volunteers are: we cannot do this alone. We need to do it together.”

Andrea Johnson – Purchasing Specialist, Sourcing and Demand Planning Team

Andrea is the Purchasing Specialist of the Sourcing and Demand Planning Team and manages both food and its funding through constant fluctuations. “It’s a lot of anticipating the things that are challenging to anticipate.”

Fawsia Omar - Gift Processing and Donor Services Manager

Fawsia, Second Harvest Heartland’s Gift Processing and Donor Services Manager, leads a team of Development Operations Coordinators who track and manage gifts, as well as communicates with Second Harvest Heartland’s donor base. “Our main role is to handle gift entries, but there’s more to it than that. We’re also the go-to people for our donors, whether they're calling to ask about a donation or to change how much they give. We're here to make sure every interaction is positive and supports our mission to fight hunger.”
